For this project, we were instructed to design a unique way to show the different steps of printing for various firms. I wanted my version of the pre-press guide to be unique in that it can be fold-able and like a poster but also small enough to be carried easily. My design was inspired by the “case file” aesthetic that is used for investigations containing important information. This makes it look unique, easy to carry, and give out to people.

The design on the outside is a folded “case file” style and when unfolded, spreads into a poster. Each element inside the poster is easily legible and has red connection lines that again represent what investigators cork board might look like. This adds a lot of movement to the poster design and allows the reader to look around at the whole of the poster and see all the elements for printing in a unique way. The colors of the “file” design are equivalent to what you may see from a real case file and a cork board. The colors on the inside poster itself go along with each of the graphical elements, creating goo contrast to help distinguish each element of the poster.
